The main symptoms in the leg
The signs of thrombosis are not always obvious. Some people feel almost nothing, while others experience several characteristic symptoms.
Here are the most frequent ones:
1. Unusual pain
Persistent leg pain, often localized to the calf, is one of the first signs. It can be described as a cramp, a tightness, or a burning sensation.
Unlike simple muscle fatigue, this pain does not disappear easily with rest.
2. Visible swelling
If one leg appears more swollen than the other, this could be a warning sign. The swelling may appear quickly or develop gradually.
It is often accompanied by a feeling of heaviness.
3. Local redness or heat
The affected area may become red, warm to the touch, and slightly inflamed. This is due to the body’s reaction to the clot.
4. More visible veins
In some cases, the veins become more visible, as if they were swollen or stretched under the skin.
